Flip The Bird Launches New Test Kitchen “The Hatchery” For Its Restaurants in the North Shore

A new breakfast and lunch concept to bring more variety to the Cummings Center office park and to test out new menu items for the Flip The Bird menu.

As of January 2nd 2023, local Beverly owners of Flip The Bird, Anthony Marino and Victoria Farnsworth rebranded their Flip The Bird location in the Cummings Center as “The Hatchery,” a new test kitchen restaurant concept. Their vision for this café and eatery is to offer specials to perhaps one day feature on either the everyday Flip The Bird menu or as a limited time special. Beverly locals and Cummings Center office folk will recognize some of the menu items from Marino’s and Farnsworth’s first restaurant, Marino’s Café.

Inspiration to switch up the menu offerings, as stated by Marino is “to open it as a sub-brand of Flip The Bird and offer more variety to those that come for their breakfast or lunch breaks every day. It’s going to be a good change for them and for us.” Items on “The Hatchery” menu feature a new variety of breakfast options, soups, sandwiches, and freshly made salads. Some of these menu items include the breakfast Street Burrito, Flip The Bird classics like The O.G. and Nashville Hot fried chicken sandwiches, as well as a classic American Burger, Green Goddess salad, and Marino’s own homemade soup recipes: Chicken and Sausage Gumbo and Tomato Fennel. Coffee and freshly baked goods will also be available all day long.

Hours of operation remain the same as they were at this location, Monday through Friday 8am-3pm. Follow @ftbfriedchicken and @thehatcherykitchen on social media and subscribe to Flip The Bird’s newsletter to get the latest exclusive updates!
