Flip The Bird’s Battle of the Birds 2022: Meet the competition!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… for a fried chicken sandwich competition! Year 3 of our annual Battle of the Birds competition between Flip The Bird’s Beverly Cabot Street, Beverly Cummings Center, Danvers, and Swampscott locations in the North Shore has officially kicked off. How it works is each of our stores come up with a new sandwich idea and can only bring in one ingredient that we don’t already carry in house. For each BOTB sandwich sold, we will be donating $1 to the Marino-Donnelly Foundation in the fight against Pancreatic Cancer. So getting to eat four limited edition hand-crafted fried chicken sandwiches all while helping a great cause? Count us in! The “Bird Crawl” runs December 1st – 31st and here’s how you can take part in it:

1. Go to one of Flip The Bird’s locations and/or order online that location’s Battle of the Birds sandwich
2. Get your punch card & receive your first stamp!
3. Remember to keep that punch card safe! Bring it to the other three locations to order their Battle of the Birds sandwiches & get stamps from each.
4. Fill out the back, let us know which one you enjoyed the most, and submit your completed card at your last stop on the Bird Crawl!

Now here’s what each of our locations are serving up for the December 2022 menu:

BEVERLY CUMMINGS CENTER: “CHIX BANH WILD”
classic fried chicken, homemade sambal spicy aioli, pickled veggie slaw, shredduce, and fresh cilantro on toasted ciabatta

DANVERS: “THE BLEU BIRD”
classic fried chicken, honey roasted ham, homemade cheddar cheese sauce, and chopped chives

BEVERLY CABOT ST: “POUTINE ON THE RITZ”
classic fried chicken, cheddar, hash browns, grilled onions, nitrate-free bacon, and house-made gravy

SWAMPSCOTT: “SWEET CAROLINE”
southern spiced fried chicken, smokey BBQ sauce, south Carolina slaw, and nitrate-free bacon

You can spread out your stops throughout the month or if you want to prove yourself as a loyal clucker, get it done all at once, whichever you prefer! But, we must inform you that you may just wanna do this crawl a bit quicker than others because there’s a special prize involved… The first 100 people to complete the Bird Crawl get a FREE WINTER BEANIE! Yep, but if you don’t quite make it in the first 100, you still got another prize you can hope to win: a $100 gift card to Flip The Bird and the ULTIMATE FTB swag bag!
